In terms of the National Credit Act as we as the Debt Review Withdrawal Guidelines, a consumer that has settled all short term debts is eligible to be issued with a Debt Review Clearance Certificate.
The effect of having a Clearance Certificate issued is that the Debt Review flag is completely removed from an individual’s credit report and they able to start being credit active again (apply for a home loan, vehicle finance, loans, etc.)
It is important to note that a Debt Review Clearance Certificate can only be issued if all short term debts (that were originally included under debt review) have been settled. Short term debts include all debts except for a home loan. This therefore means that vehicle accounts, if originally included under debt review, need to be settled as well for a Debt Review Clearance to be issued.
If you are currently listed as being under debt review and have settled all of your short term debts, at least those that were originally included under debt review, we would love to assist with the issuance of your Debt Review Clearance Certificate.
This will enable you to regain control of your finances and start rebuilding a positive credit report.
